The Adventist Senior High School in Akyem Sekyere has baptized 131 students following a week of Spiritual Emphasis held from November 19-25, 2017.
Spiritual Emphasis is a termly programme organized by the School Chaplaincy which saw the baptism of the students and a member of staff. Eight (8) students are preparing for baptism in addition. According to the Communication Director Pastor Fred Effah-Frempong, the programme was well attended and climaxed by a Communion Service attended by two hundred and seventy-six (276).
The week also ended with a community service involving 48 students donating blood to the Nkawkaw Holy Family hospital as part of the chaplaincy initiative.
